Goals and background of the survey:There are still many open questions in the field of recreational sporting activities. For example, it is unclear to what extent measures are also used in this area of sport to achieve desired (personal) sport-related goals (e.g. improved performance, changes in physical appearance). In competitive sports, this is often referred to as doping, which is also prohibited. In the mass media, this topic is often argued in a sweeping manner, with little differentiation and often with clearly evaluative undertones. In order to objectify the public discussions and speculations about the social practice of active leisure/community sportsmen and women and to provide the scientific discussion with a sound data basis, we are trying in this survey to determine as reliably as possible the proportion of people who use medication specifically for this purpose in connection with their sporting activities and training. We know that some of these issues are very sensitive.
For this reason, we pay the greatest attention to
ensuring the anonymity of the respondents. The anonymity
is ensured by the chosen "Randomized Response
Technique" so that all participants can answer
honestly without endangering themselves. Securing the
anonymity goes so far that even unauthorized interception
of the data transmitted on the Internet does not allow
any conclusions to be drawn about the behavior of the
respondent. Further information on the protection of your
data can be found here. |
